Paul has been a professional Realtor from 2010-2020 prior to becoming a chaplain. He has done his Clinical Pastoral Education at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. From 2020-2022 he served as a Correctional Chaplain for the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department. He currently serves as a Chaplain in the Air Force Reserves.

He has lived in South Korea, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Canada, Japan, and the United States. His father was a missionary to China, and Taiwan. After receiving his BA from UCLA, he received his MA in Theology from Biola University, and Master's in Divinity from Azusa Pacific University.
